Tile Based Games with Flash

Here you can read some tutorials about making tile based games with Macromedia Flash.

These tutorial are heavily based on OutsideOfSociety tutorials by Klas Kroon. Go and read them anyway, those are one of best you can find.

These tutorials expect you to know something about actionscript and Macromedia Flash. They might be too hard to understand, if you never before made any games with Flash.

HaXe 1.05 Supports Flash Player 9!

I just noticed that haXe 1.05 was released yesterday, and it now supports publishing to Flash Player 9. I’m impressed. Nicolas (of MTASC, the first ActionScript 2 Open Source free compiler fame) is a super-coder.

Internet Connection Speed Test Using Flash

Speedtest.net is a service that allows you to check the speed of your Internet connection. Rather than use Java to do this, as I've seen so many others do, this one uses Flash and has a much nicer interface than any others I've seen.
